Hailing from the Kingdom of Bahrain, with now Toronto being a second home.
Chef Suman’s passion to excel in her field got her working for Luxury Brand of Hotels, Royal Golf Club’s and Fine Dining Restaurants such as the Fairmont(dubai & abu dhabi ), Marco Pierre White (abu dhabi), Hyatt, Hawksworth, Iconink, Reef Cloud Kitchens across Bahrain , U.A.E , Jordan and across Canada.
Featured Chef on James Beard Nominated Canadian Food Docu-Series ” From the wild”, where she brings a Middle Eastern flare to Wild Canadian foods. Featuring Pit fire cooking techniques and Cooking with Hunted Deer Meat Kebabs etc.
Her vision is to continue uplifting other women to be able to access and excel the path in the industry and a personal mission to put Bahraini cuisine (Gulf region) which has a heavy South Asian diaspora Influence on the food map through her story.
Suman regularly advocates for Culinary Education for Women, Food Security, New Immigrants, people of colour, Halal food Certified Products, equal pay for equal work and food sustainability.
