Saffron Hub together with Artists & Artisans Development Network is excited to present the Whitby Artistic Food Expo virtually on Facebook & YouTube featuring Food Demos, Cultural Specialty Foods, Food Equipment & Technology. There will also be Prizes & Performances during the event!

Join talented chefs and home cooks as they display their work virtually due to COVID-19. Following the lectures and demonstrations there will be a food exhibition promoting the artistic creativity of small businesses and food entrepreneurs. The goal of this event in such an unprecedented time is to ensure the promotion and economic revival of small businesses, food entrepreneurs and food joints while ensuring people across the GTHA have the opportunity to view the vendors from Durham that are participating.

Why Attend This Event

Women entrepreneurs are leaders in the food industry responsible for innumerable culinary and kitchen-ware inventions and many food industry organizations. They have founded culinary institutions, educational foundations and supportive networks and online communities. Saffron Hub is proud to be part of a global movement upholding women food entrepreneurs.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restaurants, catering joints and tourism businesses (in particular small businesses) have been negatively impacted. This virtual event will bring a spotlight on the creativity of these entrepreneurs and business owners and will offer them an opportunity to showcase their products and companies.

Food promotes connectivity amongst groups and can even act as a starting point for innovation. This event will provide not only social interaction but will also provide an opportunity for the transfer of knowledge and an exchange of ideas amongst the participants. Just like with a traditional event, during this virtual event, attendees will be able to interact with hosts and get access to loads of valuable content. And you will be able to participate from the comfort of your home!
